About Petra Drywall & Finishing
Petra brings residential drywall installation, repairs, finishing and interior painting together with custom ceiling and architectural lighting work. We serve Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty and Cedar Rapids, with project availability confirmed individually.
One room can need several kinds of work.
A drywall repair may need finishing and repainting. A room under renovation may need new walls and ceilings. A living room may be ready for a tray ceiling or a softer lighting detail. We start with what needs changing, then discuss how the stages fit together.
You can ask for a single service or describe the whole project. The written scope should make clear what is included, which surfaces are affected and who handles each stage.
Keep the decisions practical.
Good work starts with an understanding of the existing surfaces, access, light and intended finish. Photos and approximate dimensions help start the conversation; room conditions may need an on-site review before the scope and price are settled.
Before work begins, confirm timing, protection of your home, preparation, materials, cleanup and how changes will be handled. Qualifications and insurance applicable to the work should be confirmed for your project.
The details still matter.
Custom ceilings and architectural lighting remain specialties. If you want a shaped ceiling, concealed light or a built-in TV wall, we can discuss those details as part of the room. Our site images show design concepts and planning illustrations rather than a portfolio of completed Petra projects.
